Territorial Acknowledgement – Bird Environmental Consulting acknowledges and respects the many Traditional Territories and Treaty Areas where our work takes place. In Alberta, these include Treaty 4, 6, 7, 8, and 10, as well as the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, Métis Settlements of Alberta, Credibly Asserted Métis Communities, and Independent Métis Organizations. We would like to recognize the interconnectedness of the land, water, air, and all of the inhabitants that call Turtle Island home. In particular, we recognize the complex relationships between Indigenous people and the land, as well as the deep knowledge that Indigenous people hold about wildlife and their habitats.
